Random note: this was the page we tested going Black and White in. It didn't pan out, but there is ac opy on my hard drive of a much simplified version of this page. The first panel with all its intense shading, that was interesting to do.

Just as Twigman's was inspired by my time in a department store, Hank was inspired by a man I worked with named Henry. Henry was a very quiet middle-aged guy whose job was moving boxes around, and somehow in my head I rewrote him into Hank, seen here.
